Here it is…the weekend before Christmas! During this busy time of year, I often don’t plan ahead for those small gift exchanges. It’s easy to forget that $5.00 gift for the exchange at church, your child’s school, and at office parties… until it’s the night before they are scheduled. Well, I speak for my self anyway.
I want to share a few, last minute and inexpensive gift ideas in case you might need them over the next few days.
My first stop, as usual, was the Target One Spot. I think it’s the usual for anyone who shops at Target.
Movie Night Popcorn Buckets
As soon as I saw the popcorn buckets, I knew right away I wanted to put together some ‘movie night’ gifts. I have done these for teacher’s, engagement gifts, and friends. This year, I did these for the teachers in my son’s class. They are great gifts and I kept it very simple.
I decided to include the following items…
-A Redbox online gift card, which is printable. After personalizing all of them, I sent them to my email and printed them off. I just rolled them up and tied them with ribbon to fit inside the popcorn bucket.
-Pop Secret Popcorn…because it is my favorite.
-M&M’s and a Hershey’s bar. You can’t go wrong with these either!
I placed some filling at the bottom, set everything in, and tied a ribbon around for added decoration. Super simple…
Cute gift sets from the Target Dollar Spot
My daughter picked these cute gifts out from the Dollar Spot for her teacher…I LOVE them, especially the stamp sets.
For those of you who like to bake, homemade breads are always nice as well. Every year, we bake the Classic Cranberry Nut Bread recipe found on the back of the Ocean Spray Cranberries package. This bread is so simple and delicious! People often enjoy receiving it a day or two before Christmas so they can serve it to family and friends who are visiting for the Holidays. You can find the recipe here.
And then there are jar gifts…which are always fun to make! My kids love making gift jars for the holidays. We usually do bread and brownie mixes, but there are so many great ideas for jar gifts.
Kelli, at Freebie Finding Mom has a lot of great ideas for Holiday Gifts in a Jar. Check them out…and add them to your Pinterest boards to save them.
For those of you who need quick and simple ideas for the next few days, I hope this helps. When all else fails though…there are always gift cards. 🙂
